Punta Carretas will have its port

Montevideo (UY) - Punta Carretas will have its port. It will cost 17 million dollars and will be ready in 2021. The works will begin this year and consist of the construction of a marina for sports boats, including both facilities and equipment. Work will also be done on the consolidation of the current jetty and esplanade, the dredging of the protected water basin and the building of offices and service facilities.

SECO was awarded the tender for the certification of the marine works.

Among four bidders who submitted to the tender for the design and construction of the works, the company SACEEM was the construction company selected to develop the project. On the 2nd of October 2019, SECO was awarded the tender for the certification of the marine works, organized by  Hidrografia, the maritime department of the Uruguayan Ministry of Transport and Public Works. The assignment covers both the detailed design and the construction process.
