Building Pathology Seminar

On 12 May 2015 SECO organised its first technical seminar about Building Pathology!

The purpose of this seminar was to show how the evolution of the building techniques can lead to new types of pathologies or influences that affect the users. Through 5 presentations, the seminar has addressed several aspects of this issue linked to the buildings (energy and insulation, façade, construction details, influence on users) and has also presented a global analysis of the current evolution.

On this occasion, we had the chance to welcome five eminent speakers and specialists on the subject: Prof. ir. Peter Luscuere (Building Services - Architectural Engineering and Technology Department in TU Delft), Prof. Hugo Hens (Buildings Physics, Civil Works Department in KUL), Ms Godlive Bonfanti (Directrice observatoire et action européenne for Agence Qualité Construction), Jörg Wijnants (Technical advice department for BBRI), Olivier Vandooren (Directeur Information et Soutien aux Entreprises for BBRI) and Ing. Claude Pimpurniaux (Head Coordinator Envelopes and Façades, Structural Timber Engineer for SECO).
