10/1/2017 – SECO is pleased to announce the signature of a collaboration contract with SEV Ltd, a Belgian company developing engineering services in Vietnam since 2013. This contract inks the creation of SECO Vietnam, which will allow SECO to be permanently represented in South-East Asia, and SEV Ltd to develop the fast-growing market of third party review and technical inspection in the region.
Thanks to SECO’s 83 years of experience and the presence in Vietnam of a trained team of engineers with different backgrounds, SECO Vietnam will be able to provide site inspections, production audits, project management and bid-support, while engineers from SECO Belgium will remain involved for the advisory and review roles of each project.
“While expanding internationally, SECO maintains the high level of technical advisory which the market is expecting from us. Together with SEV Ltd, we are able to provide this high level of technical advisory services by a mixed team of Belgian and Vietnamese engineers that anticipate the local and European quality expectations and standards. The team in Vietnam will work for every project in close collaboration with SECO headquarters in Brussels” - Bernard Heiderscheidt Director SECO Construction in Brussels.
“The present situation in Vietnam is ideal for SECO’s services. The country is at a turning point, looking at how to control the quality of its infrastructure and building projects. Insurers are looking at service providers like SECO to ensure risks are identified beforehand. This is an advantage for project developers: an insured project gets easier financing and better confidence from the market” - Xavier Pinchart, General Manager of SEV Ltd in Hanoi.
SECO Vietnam can rely on a solid partnership of two companies who share the same quality standards and employ Vietnamese as well as Belgian staffs. This association will provide a balanced comprehension of European and South East Asian methods, expertise and on-site experience.
SEV Ltd is a Vietnamese company with 100% FDI Belgian capital from Boydens Engineering Group, developing engineering and consultancy services in Vietnam since 2013. It employs 32 persons from which 28 engineers and 4 expatriates. SEV has offices in Hanoi, in Ho Chi Minh City and a representative office in Singapore.
