Jerudong Park Marina Project - New breakwater
The project consists in the construction of a safe harbour on the open coast of Brunei Darussalam along the Chinese Sea, South-East Asia.
The design concerns a rubble mound multilayer breakwater mainly capped by a concrete combined roadway/wave deflecting wall. The main breakwater structures reaches into the sea for about 2,5km up to a maximum depth of 9,4m. Within the sheltered area of the harbour several wharf structures and jetties were provided.
The technical inspection performed by SECO concerned the design and the execution of the civil engineering part of the project.
