Business and commercial minded. Active challenger, externally focused and future oriented.  Partnering up with other functions and departments. Together with this strong network, building business plans and tools to define risks,  (saving) opportunities and efficiency gains. Identifying ways to measure and report on the business key performance indicators. Linking into the business model to establish a tailored approach.


Measure, monitor, improve, optimize and support the CO business processes (planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, analysis), bridge with the finance department and make improvement recommendations to management.


  • Guide the divisional  budgeting process
  • Prepare forecasts and long term (financial) plans
  • Provide a monthly reporting / dashboard for the directors (management reporting)
  • Develop policies and procedures
  • Review and establish internal controls
  • Implement best practices
  • Improve and optimize the invoicing process.
  • Review, analyze and reduce costs
  • Optimize internal cost allocation
  • Prepare, analyze and distribute profitability analysis
  • Develop and implement performance metrics (KPI’s, dashboards, methods, systems and decision-making models)
  • Provide “operational risk management support” to the business
  • Perform investment and project evaluation
  • Review offering on products pricing strategies with financial consequences
  • Support operations with insights to make informed decisions towards achieving the company's objectives



Internal and external relationships / Hierarchical position

  • Reports to the national and international CO-management (solid-line) and CFO (dotted line)
  • Contacts with Operational managers and Finance team managers
  • Interface between CO and Finance department

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Strong initiative taker, ownership taking, problem solver, strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization while keeping a clear understanding of the objectives and financial commitments of the business
  • Superior technical financial skills, balanced with sound business judgment, ability to balance financial and operational factors, ability to analyze complex business problems and develop appropriate solutions
  • IT passionate
    • excellent command of Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Excel applications
    • ERP Implementation experience

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Master’s degree in finance/economics/management or (civil) engineering with a passion for figures
  • Trilingual French/Dutch/English
  • At least 3 years of experience in business controlling or in equivalent function, preferably in a professional services organization.
